The Cacapon River runs clear and clean along its 81 mile trek north to join the Potomac. It passes through Capon Bridge and is renowned for it smallmouth bass fishing and leisurely canoe trips. It has been designated as an American Heritage River.
Public access to the river will soon be available at a site in Capon Bridge owned by the State of West Virginia. The new access point will feature parking and a canoe launch to put in for your next river adventure.
